I really love when music includes several styles, influences, traditions. I love listening to music which uses elements from all over the world, mixes, them, blend and repurposes them.

Being involved in the creation of music, especially when it is music that I love so much, is of course and even bigger satisfaction. Playing and recording along great musicians, even if it’s only via the internet and not in the same room, is an energy booster and inspiration and a “great place” to be.

Doing all this for a good friend a talented musician and an inspirational person, is one of the best things that can happen to me. It’s the I_LOVE_MY_JOB post, written in capital letters with or without hashtags all over the social networks, it’s the “I’m blessed and honored” sentimentality and the deep feeling of gratefulness and satisfaction. It’s just one of the reasons why I do what I do.

I had the honor and the pleasure to play accordion on the title track of my friend’s Deane Ogden’s latest album release KWELA and I am so proud to be part of it, that I could … I could … oh well I have not idea what I could do smile emoticonLet’s keep it at proud.
Proud for me and proud and happy for Deane, seeing his great work being loved and embraced so widely

Go to itunes have a listen, leave a comment, or … you’ll know what to do.
